BGA - Reel Cinema collaboration -


Background

In collaboration with Barnet Guild of Artists, the Reel Cinema Borehamwood has opened the foyer for exhibitions of works created by Guild members, starting in October 2015 for a trial period of six months.
As of 10 Oct a variety of art will be on display and will change every six weeks, with different artists exhibiting.


The exhibition is open during cinema working time.

The exhibition is kindly supported by Susi Earnshaw Theatre School. The stage school is located in Barnet and is celebrating 25 years of inspiring pupils to achieve their full potential in all aspects of the performing arts.

THE FIRST ARTIST - 10 OCTOBER 2015- 26 NOVEMBER 2015
JAN ESTERMAN
Jan is a painter, developing her techniques and compositions over fifteen years, initially learning in Florida USA, by traditional drawing methods, including from life. Jan progressed to acrylic painting, and now is predominantly working with fine quality oil paint.
This exhibition represents a selection of recent work to excite and engage those who view it.

RUTH GOODMAN
Ruth is a contemporary animal artist. Ever since Ruth was a small child she have been fascinated by animals for their beauty, feel, shape, size and texture. Animals bring a certain presence to a place or situation and you can't help but admire them.
Acrylic paint is Ruth's prime medium as it is fast drying, quickly enabling layering of paint, creation of texture and use of vibrant colours and a quicker lead time.

DAN KIRSCHNER
Dan started painting and drawing six years ago. His paintings are inspired from his own sketches or photographs (many of them architectural) which he then interprets according to his emotions and imagination.. He paints mostly in acrylics.

Sarah is predominantly a landscape artist, exploring remote locations, using oils and acrylics to create vibrant works that have a dreamlike and mystical quality
