Our application to become a Barnet Guild of Artist charity is with the charity commission awaiting approval.
Further information regarding this development will be shared as soon as we can report the success of the charity application. We are grateful to the Trustees of the Whalebone land Richard Powles and Robin Bartleet for their generous help by providing us with access to legal guidance in the submitting of this application.

If our application is successful we are very pleased to announce that local Cllr David Longstaff, an active supporter of the arts, has generously agreed to become the Chair of Trustees and that 6 new Trustees signed up and ready. They are waiting in the wings and are:

Susie Earnshaw (Bull theatre and theatre school). Valerie Cowan (Treasurer of the Finchley Arts Society). Marion Alderman (Guild member, Graphic artist and art retired teacher). Naomi Alderman (Succesful local Author). Chris Baker (Guild member. Retired professional photographer. Artist). Quin Qi (Guild member and fine artist).

The most up to date information regarding the sale and development of the land on which the Barnet Guild of Artist studio is housed can be seen on the Barnet Society website. However, the BGA will keep you posted once the planning application has been submitted.

You are all warmly invited to attend our 2019 exhibition. The details can be seen on the poster above. You will note that there is an ‘opening’ event on the first day (Sunday 20th October) at 1.30 with speeches around 2pm. If you would like any further information please contact
